About me

I think I can best be described as an average sized guy in build; 5' 10"; blue eyes; brown hair; 165 lbs; hiking boots/chacos; boonie hat or cap; casual clothes (no suits) and old 4x4/Mtn. Bike. I'm not a hulk but I am fit from lots of hiking; biking; camping; wildlife study; SCUBA and other outdoor activities--I suppose I'm sort of a cyber-granola-country boy-nerd with a big heart and a touch of the Crocodile Hunter thrown in for good measure. I start off a bit shy and goofy with women I' m interested in (could that be why I was surfing the personals... hhmmm?) but I quickly lighten up and once I get to know you I can find fun in just about anything. I love life; a good laugh; adventure; travel; and all animals-- especially big goofy dogs and reptiles (I study snakes and turtles). I am honest; very loyal; affectionate and spontaneous (I have been known to drop everything and head to the beach for a few days just for a change of pace); I'm goofy; have been called ingenious; I love to read anything from deep biology textbooks and hard-core sci-fi novels to Calvin and Hobbs; I can't spell or do math (I don't know how I ever got through college.) I am a jack of all trades and a free spirit. I'm adventurous; I love to cook and eat good food and to give intimate massages to my significant other--yes; I'm not affraid to say it: I love to touch; hold hands; kis; hug; cuddle and have lots of frequent physical contact. However--that dosen't mean I shack up with anyone...I am picky and carefull. Unfortunatley; I'm one of those guys that treats women with respect and kindness--I have been called "too nice" but that's just who I am. This has caused me trouble in the past; I suppose I frighten girls who are used to "macho" tough guys who don't know how to feel. I don't smoke anything (yucko) but do like an ocasional good ale-- the darker the better. I work several odd jobs at the moment... Naturalist at a non- profit nature center and park Naturalist/Park Ranger at a private park (Chimney Rock) --either of these may go full time anytime! My favorite music is any 80's- 90's rock; country; alternative; techno and my favorite singer is Jimmy Buffett but I listen to anything save for "gangsta rap." I am somewhat of a home-body although I love to travel to new places and enjoy occasionally going out on the town with the right person. I'm not realy into the club scene-- another reason I was on this site also. The perfect date for me would be a hike/bike in the woods; a movie(comedy; sci-fi or action); a big dinner at Outback and then a glass of red wine by a wood fire on a rainy; thundery night.
