About me

I am intelligent; genuine; quick-witted; spirited; curious; creative; spontaneous and playful. The eternal optimist - my glass is always half full. I enjoy serious conversation; silly conversation and anything in between...I am a communicator. I am passionate about the people and things I care about. My humor is usually dry; sometimes bone-dry and occasionally just plain silly. I am very perceptive and intuitive; but at times wish I wasn't. It's difficult to get me angry; but not impossible. I share my home with a Quaker parrot named Jingle and an Australian Shepherd/Rottweiler mix named Josie. I spend a lot of my spare time gardening; reading; spending time with family and friends; and spending time with Jingle and Josie. I enjoy cooking but usually won't cook for myself. I have been divorced for 7 years and consider myself virtually "baggage" free. I have a job I enjoy and try hard; not always successfully; to keep regular hours. I believe that each person is responsible for his/her own happiness. Noone can make you happy; but the right one can make you happier.

About you

I am looking for someone who is well-adjusted; emotionally available; and financially stable. Someone who can make me laugh; laugh with me; or be a place where I can hide when I need to recharge. Someone who thinks in terms of "we" and who understands the difference between "sharing your life with someone" and "spending your life with someone". We would be able to talk about everything. Someone who understands that the woman in the front yard today vowing retribution for the rodent who lunched on her violets; will be the same woman in the backyard tomorrow rescuing a salamander from a too-curious dog. Someone who is strong enough to be there when I need him and to let me be there for him. To be continued...
